You’re probably wondering what this girl is telling us. What do we see in this picture?
I’m not sure about you, but 2022 was a real challenge for me! I was exhausted at the end, and who knows if it was due to a cold or Covid? Now that I have a few days before returning to my work routine, I want to try new things and pursue my dream, but something is holding me back. I feel I should retain my energy because I was already exhausted, so why even bother?
Holiday goal – A new dish
One of my holiday goals was to make Kubba Hamuth, a dish my grandmother used to make for us when we were kids. Then I realised, no, it’ll never taste the same, and it’s such a big job! Is it really necessary right now?
I dashed into the water!
I’ve decided to give it a shot. I got excited and cleared the table, gathered all the ingredients, and carefully read a few recipes because my grandmother used to tell us to add “a little” bit of salt, turmeric, and so on. I wanted to know what this little thing was!
Outcomes
So I made the soup for the Kubba, and it was delicious. However, I used a recipe that combined Bugrul and Semolina, and the kubba was hard…
I was furious because I had spent so much time preparing the meat and the dough. Not to mention that my boyfriend’s birthday is tomorrow, and I’ve invited a few people over. How would I present this to them?
So I was thinking…wait a minute, I have so much leftover meat to fill, and I have soup ready. All I have to do is remove the kubba that were swimming in the soup and replace them with semolina, as my grandmother used to do. I removed the “old” ones and replaced them with the ones I’m sharing with you. They’re delicious!
When I took the old kubba, they suddenly felt softer and nicer. I decided to take some of the soup and add more water to the old ones, just in case people wanted more!
What did I learn?
I’ve realised once more that life is a journey. It is a never-ending learning process.
I learned that sometimes things don’t turn out the way you want them to, and you have to keep trying.
I learned that sometimes I should just let it go and wait for the outcome, which may not be so bad after all.
Be pleased with the process and the fact that I completed it!
In life, we can make numerous attempts to find and do what we want, only to be disappointed and fail. How can we keep going without losing track of our goals and dreams?
I invite you to be inspired and follow my blog, which I haven’t visited in a while, but I’m back and intend to stay for a while:)

I wish everyone a happy new year!

I agree with you that life is a journey filled with adventures. While we succeed in some, we fail in others. But most importantly, those that seam to go bad are mere learning points. They are experiences we should use as a learning point to address future events. So there is no need sobbing over our failures
Definitely. The bad is also there to teach us to appreciate the good and might test how much we are working towards what we really want. Also I think it can direct us to the accurate point needed for us at the right time
I concur that life is a journey full of experiences. We are successful in certain areas but fail in others. Most crucial, though, is that failures only serve as teaching opportunities. They are experiences that we should draw from to address upcoming situations. Therefore, there is no need to cry over our mistakes. Thank you so much for thid amazing post . i will definitely share this.
