As the year draws to a close, I find myself reflecting on the journey that brought me here, often marked by the tension between hope and frustration. Like many of you, I’ve waited for things to happen. Don’t get me wrong—I’m working tirelessly, pouring energy into all my endeavors, as anyone who knows me can attest. But still, I sometimes catch myself asking:
Why haven’t I reached where I was meant to be? Why is everything taking so long?
If you’ve ever felt this way, you’re not alone. In my moments of doubt, I’ve stumbled upon some truths that have helped me weather the waiting, keep the faith, and continue moving forward. Let me share them with you.
Consistency: The Backbone of Progress
Growing up, I was taught that hard work paves the way to success. Work hard, and you’ll get somewhere, achieve your goals, and create the life you desire. But is there a limit? Is there a formula that guarantees results?
Five hours a day, ten, or even twenty—will that ensure success? Not always. Sometimes, even with relentless effort, progress feels elusive. Maybe it’s about more than just the hours we put in. Marketing ourselves, seeking professional guidance, and investing resources can help, but even those aren’t foolproof.
The truth is, that consistency isn’t about an immediate payoff. It’s about showing up, day after day, regardless of the results. It’s laying the groundwork for something we might not yet see but trust will grow.
The Waiting Time
Waiting can feel like a battle against the current, climbing a mountain that never seems to end. It’s during these moments of struggle that self-doubt creeps in, whispering: Is this the right path? Should I give up? Should I change direction?
The waiting time is the hardest, and yet, it’s where resilience is forged. It’s where we learn to sit with discomfort, to hold on when everything inside us says, Let go.
Compassion: A Lifeline in the Storm
As a single mother with no family nearby, time was always a precious, scarce resource. My dreams often took a backseat to the urgent demands of daily life. Over and over, I had to shelve my passions to meet immediate responsibilities.
But I kept going. I held onto the belief that the right time would come—eventually. If you’re in this place, be gentle with yourself. Life isn’t a sprint; it’s a marathon. Some seasons are for nurturing others, some for planting seeds, and some for blooming.
Am I Doing What I Love?
This is a question I’ve learned to ask myself regularly. The idea of abundance, I think, is rooted in doing what we love.
Are you working on something that makes you feel alive? Do you wake up excited to embrace the day? If not, maybe it’s time to reevaluate. Passion fuels perseverance. It’s what keeps us going through the hardest waiting times.
Miracles: The Unexpected Puzzle Pieces
What is a miracle?
To me, a miracle is when the pieces of a puzzle come together in ways we couldn’t have imagined. It’s when things we’ve dreamed about start to unfold, almost magically. It’s when, despite our struggles, things suddenly align—like a divine hand guiding the chaos into creation.
I’ve learned to recognize miracles, not as grand spectacles, but as quiet resolutions, moments of clarity, and doors opening where there seemed to be none.
A New Year, A New Spark
As we welcome a new year, I wish for all of us to rediscover that spark—to set a goal, nurture it with passion, and trust that the universe will meet us halfway. Remember, miracles take time, but they come to those who dare to believe.
On a personal note, I hope this year brings peace, resolution, and, most importantly, the return of our hostages. May it be a year of healing, hope, and the creation of something extraordinary.
Here’s to a year filled with miracles—big and small. Let’s embrace the waiting, honor the struggle, and celebrate the moments of divine alignment when they come.
Happy New Year!
Love your sentiments. Happy 2025
